Objections and Responses to Requests for Admission

This template is a set of objections and responses to requests for admission (RFAs) you may use in an Illinois circuit court civil case. It complies with Illinois Supreme Court Rule (Supreme Court Rule) 216 and includes common templates of objections and responses. The template contains practical guidance, drafting notes, and alternate clauses. A party may serve on any other party a written request for admission of: • The truth of any specified relevant fact set forth in the request (Ill. Sup. Ct. R. 216(a)) • The genuineness of any relevant documents described in the request (Ill. Sup. Ct.
