Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics (CCBHC)

In 2014, Congress passed the Protecting Access to Medicare Act (PAMA) which established the Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics model also known as the CCBHC model. The goal of this legislation was to encourage states to individually seek out innovative & effective ways to deliver and reimburse for improved and expanded community based behavioral health care. CCBHC Planning Grant Funding Opportunity

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) has released the Notice of Funding Opportunity for the 2024 CCBHC Planning Grant. HCPF is in the process of completing Colorado’s application in partnership with the Behavioral Health Administration(BHA).The application deadline is September 12, 2024. Grants recipients are anticipated to be announced in December of 2024. 15 states will receive awards. For more information see the SAMHSA CCBHC Webpage.
